Workshop explores digital markets
On Wednesday 2 October 2024, the University of St Andrews Business School’s Department of Finance hosted an economic workshop titled, ‘Topics in Economic Regulation: Digital Markets and Consumer Choice and Behaviour’.
Senior Lecturer Dr Sapnoti Eswar organised the event, which brought together leading academics and regulators to explore the critical intersections of AI, digital technologies, and consumer behaviour in regulatory policy.
The workshop featured insightful sessions on key topics such as AI foundation models, the influence of social media on online news consumption, and consumer engagement with digital assets. Attendees engaged in discussions on the future of regulation in rapidly evolving digital markets, fostering collaboration between experts in the field.
