Showcase for new research topics and methods
In February 2025, the University of St Andrews Business School hosted a new Research Poster Session for first year PhD students. As part of their annual review process, students in the School are now asked to produce a research poster five months into their studies. This formative assessment – an enhancement of the degree programme – is designed to allow students to share their research proposals with colleagues across the School in a supportive environment, and receive constructive feedback on their plans.
Ten PhD students presented their posters on a wide array of research topics reflecting the diverse and exciting research taking place in the Business School. Staff and students enjoyed hearing about the latest research and discovering previously unknown topic and methods links between students, staff and departments. The posters are to be displayed around the School, in the Gateway and Castlecliffe Buildings. Many thanks to everyone who contributed to making this event such a success.
